GOGRAN was set up as a constituted organisation in February 2007, by members of the World Harvest Bible Church. The aim is to set up a support network not only for grand parents but for the more mature in Salford, who wish to put their skills and time to good use in the community, if they are not already doing so.
GOGRAN is a non-denominational organisation. We are here to enable older members to participate in and contribute to the society in which they live, by offering resources and training where possible.
Our main aims are as follows:
· To promote the involvement of mature persons whether they are grandparents or not who desire to make a difference as agents of positive change for families and society.
· To offer pastoral care to Care Homes, prisons and hospitals and to get involved with over seas mission.
· To hold events for the older generation.
